Have you been spotting a lot of Jaecoo J7 SUVs on the road? You're not imagining it! The stylish SUV is selling really well. Jaecoo Malaysia has announced that they sold 7,041 units of the J7 in just five months since its launch in July 2024. That’s about 1,400 cars sold each month—a great result for a new player in the C-SUV market.

Jaecoo Malaysia says this success is thanks to their strong dealer network and investments in warehouses and production. They recently held their first dealership awards to recognize the top-performing dealers.

These awards are for our amazing dealers who are a big part of our success. We’ll continue to grow our network to give customers the best experience,” said Emily Lek, Jaecoo Malaysia’s VP.

The Jaecoo J7 is available in both 2WD and AWD variants, with prices starting at RM149,800 and RM159,800, respectively. This competitive pricing has contributed to its popularity among Malaysian SUV buyers, further solidifying its strong position in the market.

The top prize for highest sales went to Auto Galaksi, a dealership in Johor Bahru. Other award winners included Gagner Auto, ES Premium Holdings, Luxury Legend, Siang Hin (KL), Apple Autotech, Kluster Automobile, Carshen, AAW Nexus, BH Premium Auto, Indah Utara Enterprise, and Tropical Impact Auto.



Jaecoo Malaysia also plans to start looking at customer service and satisfaction scores this year to improve further.

Their second model, the Omoda C9, was launched in December 2024. Next up is the J7 PHEV, which will launch next month. Like the petrol version, this plug-in hybrid will be built locally (CKD) at Chery’s Shah Alam plant, with an estimated starting price of RM170k.
